Gayla Goehl

Actress/Writer/Director

A multi-dimensional artist, Gayla Goehl brings her passion, creativity, and vision to any medium within the entertainment industry that she is engaged. Over the course of her professional career spanning nearly three decades, she has enjoyed working as a professional actress, host, writer, director, acting coach, and acting teacher. A native of Illinois and working extensively in both New York and Chicago, she now calls Los Angeles her home.

Goehl can be seen in the upcoming films The Fibonacci Sequence (2017), Terri Rossio/Jocelyn Smanet’s Laboratory Conditions starring Marisa Tomei (2017), We Own The  Sea (2017), To Disappear and Not Be Found (2016), and The Bomber’s Wife (2016). Her television credits include House M.D., Charmed, and as a series regular in the pilots The Untitled Joe Franklin Pilot, Mars Sucks, and Pop Noir.

Goehl has also appeared in over fifty commercials for such corporate brands as K-Mart, Sears, Olive Garden, and Domino’s Pizza. Twenty industrial films for corporate brands: The FBI, Wal-Mart, and Abbott Pharmaceuticals.

As a voice-over artist, she can currently be heard in seven national Ancestry.com and Ancestry.ca commercials. Other voice-over credits include Inside Edition, TGIFriday’s, City National Bank, and The New York Times. She appears as Great Aunt Shirley and other voices on the animated show Higgleytown Heroes. As a Jingle & Pitch singer, she worked for ManMade Music, VTI Corporate, and Wade Hubbard Music and was the jingle singer for CBS’s ‘The Early Show‘. Goehl has also sung on several film scores.

As a television host, Gayla was the first face of the TV Guide Channel. Gayla was the entertainment host for the pilot for “Music News” as well serving as both Correspondent/Associate Producer. Goehl interviewed and was a correspondent for red carpet coverage for awards shows and up-fronts as well as industry events interviewing hundreds of celebrities. Goehl has also hosted both filmed and live corporate industrials for such corporate brands as Smith-Glaxo, Manoplax, and Nexxus.

 

Gayla's most recent writing project (which she also directed) - short-film titled "Bad Little Fairies" has been accepted into the Dances With Films Film Festival. "Bad Little Fairies" premiered in Hollywood in June of 2017

 

As an acting teacher and coach, Gayla’s fresh, innovative and engaging approach communicates the mastery of artistic and technical skills needed to give your best performance and auditions. Under her guidance, actors are able to truly shine with confidence and bring out their absolute best work for film and television, from complex drama to laugh-out-loud comedy.  Gayla is able to create an individual learning experience within a classroom setting. Gayla created her Master Classes to challenge and inspire young actors to elevate all of their acting skills to the highest level.
